When it comes to cooking oil, there is endless debate about which is the healthiest option. From rapeseed oil to olive oil, people have different choices when choosing edible oil. A similar argument exists between refined oil and cold-pressed oil. Refined oil may be the most commonly used variant, but cold-pressed oil is now widely used by people all over the world because of its many health benefits. Read on to learn why cold pressed oil is better than refined oil.

Use high temperature to extract refined oil. Also known as hot-pressed oil, refined oil is first cleaned and then ground at high speed, which can generate heat up to 200°C and use some chemicals to obtain oil.

On the other hand, cold-pressed oil is slowly crushed to extract oil from it. No heat is generated during this process. This also helps preserve nutrition and flavor.

Traditionally, India uses words such as "Chekku", "Ghani" and "Kolhu" oil to describe cold-pressed oil. In fact, in ancient times, a long cylindrical instrument called "ghani" was used to extract oil from oilseeds.

Cold pressed oil is definitely healthier than refined oil. After the refined oil is exposed to high temperatures and chemicals, most of its nutritional capacity is lost.

The situation with cold-pressed oil is completely different. Cold-pressed oil retains most of its nutrients due to the heat-free and chemical-free manufacturing process. Most cold-pressed oils are rich in vitamin E, which has anti-inflammatory properties and oleic acid, which can strengthen your immunity.

Sesame oil-it contains sesame oil, which helps the absorption of vitamin E. Sesame oil is also an effective antioxidant and antifungal agent in nature. This oil is rich in vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 and has a strong flavor. You can use it for cooking, but it must be used sparingly.

Coconut oil-cold-pressed coconut oil retains coconut alcohol. Coco alcohol is a naturally occurring plant alcohol that is abundant in coconuts. Cold-pressed coconut oil can increase the good HDL cholesterol in the body. It is most suitable for medium heat cooking and also very suitable for baking.

Linseed oil-Linseed oil is rich in omega 3 fatty acids. It increases the metabolic rate, making it easier to burn fat. It can also improve the function of our liver. This oil helps the body produce energy and significantly reduces water retention in the body.

Bottom line-make sure you never use cold-pressed oil for frying. Exposing cold-pressed oil to high temperatures will decompose its unsaturated fats, making it unsafe to eat.
