The Machinist is the new class coming to Lost Ark after the September “Rage with the Machinist” Update. Read all about this new Gunslinger below.
The Machinist is the fifth Gunner Advanced Class, following the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter.
The identity skill for Machinists is their Hypersync ability. The energy cores for Hypersync can be charged up by landing attacks. Abilities cast while Hypersync is active will expend core energy until it runs out.
The Machinist’s skills are split into either Normal, Drone, Combo, or Sync categories.
The Evolutionary Legacy Class Engraving is focused on the Hypersync Mode, adding damage, reducing cooldowns, and granting Core Energy back to maximize time spent in the high-tech suit. Enhancing another key aspect of the class, the Arthentinean Skill Class Engraving is centered around the Machinist’s teamwork with the Drone, by increasing Drone and Joint skills and movement speed while the Drone is attached to the Machinist.

In the official blog post, the Lost Ark devs revealed special progression events in the future:
“For those eager to create a Machinist, we’re looking into some special progression events to help players level up and face the Demon Legion Commanders and other Tier 3 end-game threats. We’ll have more specifics leading up to the launch of the September Update in next week’s release notes!
We look forward to seeing new Machinists across the battlefields of Arkesia on September 28. In the meantime, we’ll see you in Arkesia celebrating Arktoberfest.”
The Machinist is expected to release after the update. Server downtime begins September 28, 12AM PT and is expected to last 4 hours. For regions with server merges, the downtime can reach up to 16 hours. To read more about the “Rage with the Machinist” update, check out the full release notes here.
