Boulder Open Studios: This annual, free, self-guided tour of more than 150 artists’ studios across the county is launching week two where art-lovers can take a deep dive into our local art scene; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday and Oct. 15-16; Find maps and more info at openstudios.org/open-studios-tour.

Collective Community Arts Center: New “Dia de los Muertos” exhibit features artworks by Jaime Chihuan, Lilian Lara, Jose Mares and Centaurus High students. Visitors can honor lost loved ones by attaching a note to the Community Ofrenda. The opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, closed Sunday-Monday; 201 N. Creative Nations Indigenous Arts Market and Festival: Through Monday, artists and the community will be celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day (Oct. 11) with an art market featuring vendors from various Indigenous communities across the United States. Día de los Muertos Family Celebration: Longmont’s annual party to celebrate deceased loved ones and to keep their memories alive in Colorado’s longest-standing celebration of its kind. The street festival, which encourages festive dress, will have music and dance performances, art and craft activities, cultural education, delicious food, altars made by downtown businesses and wrap with Firehouse Art Center’s unique Gigantes Procession. There will be a free shuttle at the Longmont Museum for extra parking; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, 4th Avenue and Kimbark Street, downtown Longmont, longmontmuseum.org.

East Window and East Window South: The art space will move to a new spot at to 4550 Broadway, Suite C-3B2, Boulder in November where the East and South galleries consolidate under one roof. It will also offer more possibilities for installations, screenings, talks and more. In the meantime, catch excerpts from Leroy F. Firehouse Art Center: Opening its Dia de los Muertos exhibits, “Catrinas on Parade,” filled with community Catrina paintings, and “Escúchame,” works from two emerging Latinx artists, both launch Saturday during Longmont’s Day of the Dead fiesta. Longmont Museum: The annual “Día de los Muertos” exhibit returns to the Swan Atrium and features community-built ofrendas among the work of local artists; opens Saturday in conjunction with Longmont’s Día de los Muertos Family Celebration from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday; exhibit is on display through Nov. 6; 400 Quail Road, Longmont; longmontmuseum.org.

Loveland Art Studio Tour & Sale: The 14th annual event stops in Loveland for two weekends with free self-guided tours of more than 100 local artists in 30 locations. NoBo First Friday: The Gallery at The Bus Top opens its new exhibit, “Close Contact” with a reception 6-9 p.m. Friday. Stop Asian Hate Demonstration: Two dozen participants, who identify with Asian, Asian-American or Pacific Islander communities, are planning a march on the mall in a social justice art-action event.
